“Mental Health. Purpose. Access. Transformation.”
What is
“The Couch”
Helping individuals and communities name what they carry, heal what they’ve lost, and move forward with purpose.
The Couch Co. began as a simple idea: healing deserves space — space to sit, to speak honestly, and to be heard without judgment. What started as a platform, including a Mental Health podcast and therapy practice has evolved into The Couch Co., an umbrella brand committed to supporting mental health through multiple pathways.
Today, The Couch represents more than therapy. It is a platform for clinical care, community impact, public conversation, and healing tools — offering therapy services, nonprofit initiatives through The M.A.P. Project, speaking engagements, and books and workbooks designed to help people reflect, process, and grow.
Rooted in compassion, access, and purpose, The Couch exists to meet people where they are and walk with them as they navigate loss, identity, and life transitions. Whether through therapy, community work, or storytelling, The Couch is a space where what you carry can finally be named — and where healing can begin.

Featured TEDx Talk: A Loss Is a Loss
In this TEDx talk, Damion Harmon challenges the narrow way we define grief, reminding us that loss isn’t limited to death. Through personal reflection and clinical insight, he explores how unacknowledged losses — identity, relationships, stability, expectations — quietly shape our emotions, behaviors, and mental health. This talk invites viewers to rethink strength, name what they’ve been carrying, and begin healing without comparison or shame.
